Compositium

I've always liked the idea of sharing my knowledge with others. In fact, this was one of my main motivations for getting involved in higher education. Compositium is a project that I started this year, 2021, with the renewal of my YouTube channel, transforming it into a source of educational videos related to composition, orchestration and other musical topics that are of interest to me.

Here are some playlists from my channel. You can also watch this content on YouTube, by following this link: Compositium. Don't forget to subscribe to receive a notification every time I post a new video. Also, give me a thumbs up if you like the content and share it with others to make these educational resources available to more people.

A series of videos dedicated to the fundamental concepts of musical composition. Some titles of this series are: "The principles of art and music", "Why we think music moves in one direction" and "Does music have a structure?".

A series of videos dedicated to the fundamental concepts of orchestration. Some titles of this series are: "Orchestration tip 1: Reinforce", "Orchestral percussion: What's it good for?" and "Some common problems in orchestration and how to solve them".

This series documents the composition of my work "Symphony for piano quintet". In each video, I describe the different aspects of the piece and explain my ideas behind them as well as the processes that I apply in the construction of the piece.

This series documents the composition of my work "Hydra", for the Pierrot ensemble. Hydra is a work dedicated to my friend and colleague Haladhara Dasa, which I am writing using a compositional method that he devised, called "Wave-Constellation".
