Year: 2025 | Type: Three-movement work for solo piano | Duration: ca. 11' 48''
Inspired by the luminous and expressive paintings of my dear cousin Reynaldo Gubbins, each movement draws from a different canvas—boats adrift in light, a horse that dreams in blues and greens, and faces blooming with emotion—translating visual poetry into sound. This music is a celebration of imagination and gesture, of the way pastel can soften the world without dulling its brilliance. It is a dialogue between mediums, where stroke becomes melody and color becomes rhythm.
