Year: 2026 | Type: Single-movement work for violin and piano | Duration: ca. 5' 37''
Rêverie interrompue is drawn from the character of Laura, a violinist in 1970s Brazil who dreams of returning to France while living trapped in the routine of her homeland. The piece opens with a piano introduction, over which the violin unfolds a slow, sensual theme rich in portamento, later repeating itself against the piano's opening material. A ritardando leads into an agitated, mechanical central section built on arpeggios and repetitive passages—the dream interrupted by the everyday—before the lyrical theme returns once more, now fleeting, followed by a piano coda.
