Year: 1999 | Type: Eleven-movement work for flute, clarinet, violin, cello and piano | Duration: ca. 37'
At the early stages of my career, I was invited to create music for a presentation of Arthur Miller's The Crucible. The result was a collection of pieces crafted in a neo-romantic style, the only style accessible to me at the time. This is a re-adaptation for Pierrot quintet. While it may not reflect my current artistic state, I believe it's a well-crafted piece.
Notes:
This music was performed live at each of the performances of the play, which took place in September 1999 at the Champagnat School Auditorium, Lima, Peru.
This work was written before my formative years as a composer, and I feel it falls short of the quality required for publication, as it doesn't represent my current musical language.
Despite this, I am willing to consider sharing the version for Pierrot quintet (flute, clarinet, violin, cello, piano) that I created in 2022. It's not a suitable piece for a concert hall, but it works well with the play, perhaps better suited to a high school drama class.
